This overwound Custom Stack Plus is a noiseless Strat pickup that delivers the punch, chime and sustain of a hot Stratocaster single coil without Back in the '80s, Seymour Duncan patented a special bottom coil that actually injects negative hum into the pickup circuit. Alnico 5 rod magnets are used for authentic vintage tone and tappable 3-conductor wire is used for when you want to switch to true single-coil mode with lower output and more chime. At the end of the production process, they fine-tune each individual pickup for maximum noise cancelation, and each pickup is wax- potted for squeal-free operation. This STK-56 pickup is designed to look like a traditional Strat single coil, and it works great in the neck, middle or bridge positions.
