Love the brilliant finish! The hi hats have a great tone and the ride has a nice ping to it although when you hit the bell it rings out a bit and I don't know if it's noticeable on a recording. Crashes are good though I wish they had more attack and volume. From the reviews I see that these have a tendency to crack, so I'm using these as recording and live gigging cymbals only. I put them back in the box after use. Also it comes with the free 18" crash btw. Description doesn't say it and if you ask about it they say it doesn't come with it but I assure you it does. Anyways good set all together. Not the best out there but it's exceptional for its price. They sound great don't get me wrong but after 5 months they started to crack near the key hole on the crashes! Good thing I got the warranty on these and if you do decide to get these I recommend the same. I've played multiple brands of cymbals and this has never occurred after a few months.
