I play a Gibson J35 and it is a bright guitar. I usually try a lot of vS different strings to find what works best with each guitar I own. I I've been playing for almost 20 years. So I'd like to think I know what I am doing. After spending $20 in total in shipping. I'm am a fan of John Pearse phosphor bronze strings and they sounded good on this guitar but I ended up I liking DR Sunbeam ... restringing one of my instruments and the high E snaps off before I can even wind it all the way to in tune.
