Nell began her artistic career with a camera that was off limits. At the age of twelve she would often find herself on her own for a few hours before her parents were to be home. She would climb outside her window up onto the roof so she could take pictures of everything. A perfect student and a nice kid, using roll after roll of film would be the only origin for many lectures from her parents. She was instantly captivated to view everything in forms of lines, light, shadows and angles. She uses pictures as a frame in her memory to communicate with others the things, places and people that she's drawn to.
